For writers who know the rules, but love to break them!

Have you ever thought:

“I’m tired of writing ALONE…”

  • Whether you’re new to writing and just need a bit of encouragement to get started…

  • You’ve been writing for years and need a boost of creative energy and connection…

  • Or you’re a pro at this and want to share your knowledge and support your peers…

We the Writers is for you!

We the Writers is a judgement free space where you can strengthen your skills, build meaningful connections beyond likes and shares, and gain support as you create without the pressure of doing everything exactly the way it’s always been done.

Hey writer! I’m Gwendolyn 👋🏾.

I’m a transformational book coach, author, and freelance editor. I’m also a recovering perfectionist who loves writing all the random yet exciting ideas that just won’t leave me alone!

When I began my writing journey 12 years ago, I devoured every resource I could find on plot building, world building, character building etc, etc, etc. I filled out pages of templates and sketches only to find an empty mind when it was time to write.

It wasn’t until years later, after joining a writing community, that I realized learning the process of writing didn’t have to mean throwing away all the things that made my story me. I learned that while certain conventions are absolutely necessary, others can be reshaped to fit my personal style.

In short, I learned to recognize the value in both conventional wisdom and personal truth—in community!
